Irmãos Teixeira adheres to all the regulations of Law No. 10,098/94 to ensure accessibility for passengers with disabilities. Our fleet is equipped with adapted resources to provide a safe and comfortable journey for everyone.

Who is eligible for free travel?

Brazilian legislation provides free travel and discounts for passengers in specific situations. Check if you are eligible.

People with disabilities

Free travel according to current legislation. Mandatory documentation required at boarding.

Proof required through a medical report from the SUS and income up to 2 minimum wages.

Seniors from 65 years old

Discount guaranteed by law.


It is necessary to present an official photo ID and a Senior Citizen Card issued by the government or proof of income up to 2 minimum wages.

Children

Children up to 5 years old travel for free.


They must travel on the lap of their legal guardian, occupying the same seat.

Guide Dogs

They travel for free, without a ticket, but with identification and with the guide.
Important

​ - Each vehicle has 2 seats reserved for passengers with complimentary tickets.
- The ticket must be requested at least 12 hours in advance at the ticket counters.

Children and Teenagers Traveling Safely

Specific rules apply to the transportation of minors.


Check the required documentation and conditions for unaccompanied children or those traveling with a parent:


Paid Ticket (full fare):

  • Children aged 6 and above must pay the full ticket price;
  • If a child is under 6 years old, but the guardian chooses a separate seat, the ticket must be paid for.

Free of Charge (no ticket cost):

  • Children up to 5 years old are entitled to travel for free;
  • They must travel on the lap of their legal guardian, sharing the same seat.

Required Documentation for Children's Boarding

General Rules:

Only original documents, notarized copies, or digital versions (only ID card for the child) are accepted;
Simple copies are not permitted.


Accepted Documents by Age:

  • Up to 11 years old: Birth Certificate or Photo Identification Document;
  • From 12 years old: Photo Identification Document (ID card, Passport, or other official original or notarized document).


Travel Authorization:

According to Resolution No. 295/2019, children and adolescents up to 15 years old can only travel unaccompanied or with third parties with a National Travel Authorization, with a notarized signature.

Teen Transportation

Accepted documents based on age:


  • Up to 11 years old: Birth Certificate or Photo Identification Document;
  • From 12 years old: Photo Identification Document (ID card, Passport, or other original or certified official document).

Travel Authorization:


Teens up to 15 years: approval from legal guardian required

According to Resolution No. 295/2019, minors up to 15 years old can only travel unaccompanied or with third parties with a National Travel Authorization Form, with signature notarized.

From 16 years old – Free to travel

  • Teens from 16 years old can travel unaccompanied without the need for legal guardian authorization;
  • They must present a valid and original identification document.

Carrier Box

The animal must be transported in an appropriate, sturdy, ventilated crate that is the right size to allow it to move and lie down.

Medical Certificate

A health certificate issued by a veterinarian registered with the Regional Council of Veterinary Medicine (CRMV) is required, valid up to 30 days before the travel date.

Hygiene

The animal must be clean and free of strong odors that may disturb other passengers.

Ticket

A specific ticket needs to be purchased for the pet, in addition to the guardian's ticket.

Safety

The animal must not pose risks to other passengers, such as being aggressive or having contagious diseases.

Guide Dogs

Prohibitions

Pets that may cause harm to passengers or the vehicle are not allowed to be transported.

Food and Hygiene

If the animal needs to be fed or the transport carrier needs cleaning during the journey, the owner and the animal must disembark at the next stop.

Items left behind on the company’s vehicles are sent to the Lost and Found department located at the garage in Belo Horizonte.

To retrieve an item, please contact our customer service exclusively via WhatsApp (31) 99720–2433. Our team will search for the item and guide you on how to pick it up, which can be done at one of the following locations:

  • Belo Horizonte Ticket Counter
  • Divinópolis Ticket Counter
  • Belo Horizonte Garage

🚨 Attention: Items are stored for up to 30 days. After this period, if they are not claimed, the items are donated by the company.

Boarding and Disembarking

We recommend that passengers arrive at the boarding location at least 15 minutes before the scheduled departure time on the ticket.

Attention:
In case of no-show at the departure time, there will be no refund or possibility of rescheduling the ticket, in accordance with current intercity transport regulations.
