Teixeira Brothers complies with all the regulations of Law No. 10,098/94 to ensure accessibility for passengers with disabilities. Our fleet is equipped with adapted features to provide a safe and comfortable journey for everyone.

Who is eligible for free travel?

Brazilian legislation guarantees free or discounted fares for passengers in specific situations. Check if you are eligible.

People with disabilities

Free transportation according to current legislation. Documentation required for boarding.

Proof required by a medical report from the SUS and income of up to 2 minimum wages.

Seniors aged 60 and older

Legally guaranteed discount.

It is necessary to present an official photo ID and a Senior Citizen Card issued by the government or proof of income up to 2 minimum wages.

Children

Children up to 5 years old do not pay.

They must travel on the lap of the legal guardian, occupying the same seat.

Guide Dogs

They travel for free, without a box, but with identification and with the guide.

Important

- Each vehicle has 02 seats reserved for passengers traveling for free.
- The ticket must be requested at least 12 hours in advance at the ticket counters.

Children and teenagers traveling safely

Specific rules apply to the transportation of minors.

Check the necessary documentation and conditions for unaccompanied children or those traveling with one of their parents:

Paid Ticket (Regular Price):

Children aged 6 and above must pay the full ticket price;
If the child is under 6 years old but the guardian chooses a separate seat, the ticket must be paid for.

Free (No Ticket Cost):

Children up to 5 years old are entitled to free travel;
They must travel on the lap of the legal guardian, occupying the same seat.

Required documentation for boarding with children

General rules:

Only original documents, notarized copies, or digital documents (only ID card for children) are accepted;
Simple copies are not allowed.

Accepted documents according to age:

Up to 11 years old: Birth Certificate or Identification Document with photo;
From 12 years old: Identification Document with photo (ID card, Passport, or other official original or notarized document).

Travel Authorization:

According to Resolution No. 295/2019, children and adolescents up to 15 years old can only travel unaccompanied or with third parties with a National Travel Authorization, with notarized signature.

Teen Transport

Accepted Documents by Age:

Up to 11 years old: Birth Certificate or Photo Identification Document;
From 12 years old: Photo Identification Document (ID card, Passport, or other original or notarized official document).

Travel Authorization:

Adolescents up to 15 years old: require consent from the legal guardian

According to Resolution No. 295/2019, minors up to 15 years old can only travel unaccompanied or with third parties through a National Travel Authorization Form, with notarized signature acknowledgment.

From 16 years old – Free to travel

Adolescents from 16 years old can travel without accompaniment and without requiring authorization from the legal guardian;
They must present a valid and original identification document.

Travel with pets

Your pet can also travel with Teixeira. Check the rules and required documentation for a smooth journey.

Transport box

The animal must be transported in an appropriate, sturdy, ventilated carrier that is the right size to allow it to move and lie down.

Health Certificate

It is necessary to present a health certificate issued by a veterinarian registered with the Regional Council of Veterinary Medicine (CRMV), valid up to 30 days before the date of the trip.

Hygiene

The animal must be clean and free of strong odors that might bother other passengers.

Ticket

You need to purchase a specific ticket for the pet, in addition to the guardian's ticket.

Safety

The animal must not pose risks to other passengers, such as being aggressive or having contagious diseases.

Guide Dogs

They travel for free, without a box, but with identification and with the guide.

Prohibitions

Pets that may cause harm to passengers or the vehicle cannot be transported.

Food and Hygiene

If the animal needs to be fed or the carrier requires cleaning during the trip, the owner and the animal must disembark at the next stop.

Items left behind in the company's vehicles are sent to the Lost and Found department, located at the Belo Horizonte garage.

To retrieve an item, please contact our customer service exclusively via WhatsApp (31) 99720–2433. Our team will search for the item and provide instructions for its return, which can be done at one of the following locations:

🚨 Attention: Items are kept for up to 30 days. After this period, if not claimed, they will be donated by the company.

Boarding and alighting

We recommend that passengers arrive at the boarding location at least 15 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time on the ticket.

Attention:
In case of no-show at the time of departure, there will be no refund or possibility of rescheduling the ticket, in accordance with the current intercity transportation regulations.
